Reasons for developing the app

As a ballroom dance trainer, I have been teaching dance for decades. In my experience, the best way to learn dancing is through being present in real dance classes.

At a younger age it is much easier to get boys and girls to sign up for a ballroom dance group. Older people have a lot of inhibitions and they might feel ashamed signing up for dance classes.

Either they don’t have a dance partner or they don’t want to be seen bad in front of their partner. The possibility of private dancing lessons is raised, which could be financed for a wedding opening dance, but is otherwise a costly idea.
How can I learn to dance alone or with my partner?

You can learn to dance from a book, video or app

A dance teacher can learn them from a descriptive text in a book or from a video shot from a specific point of view, because they have an established vision and a proper dance culture.

With the right application, even a beginner can succeed.

Includes many things

Includes support for the book - can display footprints

Show movement with correct rhythm - animation should be supervised by a dance teacher, music should always be in sync with movement

Provide more support than just the traditional mode - have variable tempo speed, can be viewed from multiple angles, be viewed from variable angles (female only, male only, together), always show the same dance figures, be able to repeat the same movement multiple times, work with multiple music

I can manage development in one person

I was a competitive dancer for a long time. I ended up as a ballroom dance group leader and ballroom dance coach, and to this day I teach dance part-time.

I am a full-time high school teacher (computer science, mathematics). In my spare time I do application development and programming. I've published animation-based applications in the past (Unity, C#), currently I'm learning advanced animation creation, while getting help from friends.
